This Regency-style dress was all the rage in the late ’60s and you would have seen any of a number of stars making a splash in very similar looks: Barbara Streisand, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor all favored this style.
It reeked of Continental glamour, which makes it particularly appropriate for Megan, whose Frenchness is referenced constantly, no more so than in this episode. It also, like so much of what Megan wears, speaks to the money she’s spending. This is not a cheap dress by any stretch. [x]
